PERFORMANCE OF 백두산MOUNT PAEKTU #9 (2024)

The story of Dangun is an ancient creation myth of the peninsula’s founder. Ungnyeo is the bear, along with a tiger, who prayed to the king Hwanung to become human. The king said that if they were stay in the cave, eating only mugworts and garlic, for 100 days, he would grant their wish. Only the bair remained and thus, transformed into a woman.

She later prayed for a child, and so Hwangung felt deeply, and they soon gave birth to a son, Dangun.
